Table of Contents
Líneas Romero
Líneas Marítimas Romero is the ferry company from Lanzarote that serves the eastern islands alongside the two major operators. Its main route crosses the Bocaina strait: Playa Blanca - Corralejo with the Don Juan in 25 minutes, five departures a day, with vehicles carried. The second line is Órzola - La Graciosa with the AlexandroR, around eight departures a day across the El Río channel, for foot passengers and bicycles only. The company also runs the water buses Puerto del Carmen - Puerto Calero and Playa Blanca - Marina Rubicón on Lanzarote, plus catamaran excursions.
For tickets, Líneas Romero advertises a flexible fare, luggage at no extra cost, pets on board, an onboard bar, an airport transfer and discounts for residents and large families. Tickets are available online and at the port; your boarding time is stated on your ticket.
Biosfera Express
Biosfera Express is the second ferry company to La Graciosa. It sails from Órzola to Caleta de Sebo, 25 minutes, around eight departures a day, with its own booking system and sales at the port of Órzola. Together with Líneas Romero, that's around 16 crossings a day; your return sails with whichever company you booked. Everything about the island is on Ferry to La Graciosa.
Naviera Nortour and Ferry Isla de Lobos
Two small ferry companies sail to Isla de Lobos off Corralejo. Naviera Nortour and Ferry Isla de Lobos depart from Corralejo, a 15-minute crossing, around seven departures a day between them in season; Ferry Isla de Lobos also offers individual sailings from Morro Jable, Costa Calma and Caleta de Fuste. The island is a nature reserve with a limited number of visitors, so you'll need the free permit from the Cabildo de Fuerteventura to visit. More on Ferry to Fuerteventura.
When the small ferry companies are the right choice
Across the Bocaina strait, Líneas Romero runs at the same frequency as the major operators and is an equally good choice for foot passengers; with a vehicle, compare departure time and fare in the booking window. To La Graciosa and Lobos, only the small ferry companies sail, so the timetable alone decides. The day's departures are shown in the timetable, and fares in the fare overview.
