Getting There and the Playa Blanca Terminal
All three operators depart from the Muelle de Playa Blanca in the municipality of Yaiza, right on the edge of the resort town. From Arrecife and the airport, the LZ-2 takes you to Playa Blanca in around 35 minutes; in the town, follow the signs for Puerto and Ferry. Sales desks for the operators are at the port, and foot passengers go straight to the pier with their boarding pass.
Check-in and Departure
Under Fred Olsen Express's conditions of carriage, you need to be ready to board 20 minutes before departure, or be at the quay 40 minutes beforehand with a vehicle. Baleària Canarias requires 60 minutes without and 90 minutes with a vehicle. For Líneas Romero, the time stated on your ticket applies. Keep your ID or passport in your hand luggage; residents show proof of address for the discount.
On Board
Fred Olsen Express operates the catamarans Bocayna Express and Buganvilla Express, Líneas Romero the Don Juan, and Baleària Canarias the ferry Volcán de Tindaya. All three have seating areas and an outer deck, and Líneas Romero has an onboard bar; there are no cabins on this half-hour crossing. Payment is in euros, by card.
Vehicles, Bicycles and Pets
Cars, motorhomes, motorbikes and bicycles are carried by all three operators, with vehicle type and registration number needed in the booking. The most common case on this route is the rental car: many rental companies on both islands prohibit the crossing in their rental agreement, so check before booking. Register pets when booking; Fred Olsen Express offers a crate, Pet Rooms and the Pet Sofa, Baleària Canarias Pet&You mats and quiet kennels, and Líneas Romero also carries pets. Arrival in Corralejo and Onward Travel
The ferries dock at the Muelle de Corralejo in the municipality of La Oliva, right in the town centre. You're in the centre within a few minutes on foot, and the dunes of Corralejo lie a few kilometres to the south. Puerto del Rosario is around 40 kilometres away via the FV-1, and the airport around 45 minutes; island buses run from the bus station in the town. Excursion boats to the Isla de Lobos also depart from the same port.

All three operators sell tickets online and at the port. Canary Islands residents get the official discount of 75 percent, with large-family discounts from Fred Olsen Express and Líneas Romero. Baleària Canarias offers a fare with free cancellation, and Líneas Romero a flexible ticket.
